Indie artists are independent artists that do their own recordings and in some cases managing. They usually rely only on them selves for promotion and in this way they can keep their style and not bend it to a music label wishes and demands.
Indie or pop artists are somewhat independent artists, whose music does not comply with the trends of the common commercial music industry. Their music genre is thus, what makes them stand unique from the rest of the music fraternity.
